Production Process
Equipped with Korea's only precision wide-width rolling facility, POSCO SP produces ultra-thin precision-rolled coil with widths of up to 4 feet.
- 1. Precision Rolling - Core equipment that precision-rolls steel strip to the required thickness while optimizing shape and surface quality.
- 2. Bright Annealing - Advanced heat treatment equipment that fully excludes oxygen and moisture, preserving the luster and surface quality of precision-rolled strip to enhance formability and overall product quality.
- 3. Degreasing - Equipment that removes oil and contaminants from the surface to ensure cleanliness and process quality in subsequent operations.
- 4. Flatness Correction - Equipment that applies tension and leveling to equalize non-uniform elongation in the strip, improving dimensional accuracy and final product quality.
- 5. Precision Slitting - Equipment capable of precision slitting to a variety of widths in accordance with customer requirements prior to shipment.
